Aims

and

Objectives

  • To support carers and make it possible for them to meet together to share experiences.
  • To involve and encourage those with a brain injury with a view to helping them maximise their recovery.
  • To reduce social isolation for those with a brain injury, their family and carers.
  • To help promote partnership working between/among health services, social work and voluntary organisations.
We run full social and support programmes for those with a brain injury, their unpaid carers and families. Included in the programme are carer specific events such as weekends and monthly lunches. These are found to be very helpful to carers - it lets them talk informally with others who have the same challenges and helps form friendships and contacts. The programmes are designed to support and reduce the isolation or pressures often experienced.
Above all we hope to get the word out that you are not alone!
If you would like to know more about the events that are near you please read our newsletters.
